Meet the Winemaker
Matthieu Wheeler started his career in the restaurant industry until he found his passion with winemaking and in the peaceful scenery of the vineyard. Since 2018, he has been living his dream as a Winemaker at Cassidy Hill Vineyard, another local Connecticut Farm Winery. Shortly after he started there, he realized he wanted to do this for the rest of his life – making something from the land and being able to share it with friends, neighbors, and guests. In restaurants, Matthieu was always striving to give guests a memorable experience, shared with their friends and family. With his own farm winery, he plans to give guests a genuine experience and quality product at Wheeler Winery.
Meet the Owners
Matthieu and Alyssa bonded over their love of exploring Connecticut and experiencing all that it had to offer. From hiking trails to scenic drives, craft breweries and, of course, vineyards and wineries. They found this beautiful property in Hampton and knew that this was where they wanted to plant roots, literally. Now, they’re working hard to get it ready to share it with their guests, so they can be a part of the Connecticut experience, too.
